1st Team Meeting

WHO: Azula and any vault dwellers who show up.
WHERE: The Rec Room
WHEN: Three hours after her annoucement.
WHAT: Azula's "War Council" to disseminate information and introductions...also snacks.
WARNINGS: Possible discussions of violence and/or dark backstories.

Azula had attended a number of war meetings growing up as well as social affairs for meeting with important members of the public or military. This was different for a number of reasons, the largest being that this was a place no one seemed to have any respect for her title.

But she could handle that. It had taken her half a month to come to terms with it but here the title "Princess" was only as important as she made it.

Unfortunately that meant having to play "Nice" having to bite her tongue and not get frustrated when she wasn't catered to. That would have been harder for her two years ago, and impossible a year ago.

But here we were, with her waiting patiently near the entrance to the Rec Room to greet people as they came in. Oh how far she'd fallen.

"Come in, help yourself to some snacks. We'll get started soon."

"That's not a bad idea. An inventory will certainly be useful in a situation like this... But I wonder if people will be willing to do so." she paused and looked down thoughtfully.

"After all, in situations like these, people tend to hoard items in order to use them when they need it. And who could blame them really? Self preservation is on the top of everyone's priorities."

"The funny thing about that," Yunlan said dryly, "is that we've got a much better shot as a group of ten than one person would all on their own. Self-preservation ought to mean sharing, if you're being smart about it."

Maybe it was hypocritical of him to preach that doctrine when he had a handful of ominously labeled little packs of drugs tucked away in his mattress... but, on the other hand, he wasn't planning to try any of that shit on himself. Alcohol was one thing. What might well be meth in an inhalant canister was firmly in the keep-away-from-kids category.

"Don't need to tell me. What's that american saying... preaching to the choir?" She shrugged and nodded. "Working together will definitely improve our chances so long as people aren't making stupid mistakes that put the group at risk. So I hope the vast majority at least understands this."

Saya would share, if it would help the group. But her personality also led her to keep things she valued and didn't have a huge impact on the group as a whole.

"Sure, that sounds right!" He's not sure what preaching has to do with any of this, but he can sort of get the idea. He shrugged, one-shouldered, and cast another glance over their group of misfits in the room.

"Anyway, whether people are hoarding or not, a list like that would tell us what they're willing to share. Which is almost as useful."

"True enough, I just hope they see it that way and that Simmon's doesn't pop a core feeling it's a communist ideal or whatever gets his servos twisted into a bunch."

She wasn't fond of the Captain, and frankly, she kind of wishes he just, stopped functioning. But maybe he'll be useful to them down the road.

"It's not Communism, it's--" He tilted his head back to stare at the ceiling, tapping a finger theatrically against his jaw. Ugh, his beard really was growing out everywhere. Shaving kit: now that was something worth looking for.

"--Efficient logistics management! Armies love it worldwide!"

Saya blinks a few times before being unable to contain a light chuckle. "I like the way you think. I bet you could get away with a lot huh?" she joked and shook her head.

"Now though, we'd have to have someone responsible and who the community trusts to keep inventory though." She's looking at Yun as if already voluntelling them to be it.

"I'd never try to get away with anything I shouldn't," he claimed, wide-eyed and doing his best innocent look. "Of course. Seriously, though, I'm not your guy for paperwork. Or keeping things organized! I'd tell you to ask my HR department, or the office manager, but, well."

He spreads his hands. "You know how it goes."

"Of course, how silly of me." Saya laughed... It was refreshing honestly. It was hard to do things like that ever since her world, and apparently whatever this was, went to hell.

"Fair enough... Then I hope someone decently responsible can manage it then."

"Same." With one last grin for Saya, he started for the front of the room. If he was going to recruit list keepers, it'd be better to do it before people got fed up and started stomping out.

Saya smiled and waved him off. "Good luck, you might need it." she joked as she returned to the back, soon to leave the area one all business was done.
