1st Team Meeting

WHO: Azula and any vault dwellers who show up.
WHERE: The Rec Room
WHEN: Three hours after her annoucement.
WHAT: Azula's "War Council" to disseminate information and introductions...also snacks.
WARNINGS: Possible discussions of violence and/or dark backstories.

Azula had attended a number of war meetings growing up as well as social affairs for meeting with important members of the public or military. This was different for a number of reasons, the largest being that this was a place no one seemed to have any respect for her title.

But she could handle that. It had taken her half a month to come to terms with it but here the title "Princess" was only as important as she made it.

Unfortunately that meant having to play "Nice" having to bite her tongue and not get frustrated when she wasn't catered to. That would have been harder for her two years ago, and impossible a year ago.

But here we were, with her waiting patiently near the entrance to the Rec Room to greet people as they came in. Oh how far she'd fallen.

"Come in, help yourself to some snacks. We'll get started soon."

"Considering what we're doing with it is going to benefit all of us, why not think of it as getting out of some work rather than giving up supplies?" He gave her a charming grin. "And that sounds good to me! How's your handwriting? I'm guessing we want to keep the list in English, since it's the language we've all got in common...."

He wasn't sure he liked the idea of actually handing over all of the supplies they find to a young noblewoman with aspirations of conquest, but letting her keep the list? Win-win; she'd feel important without actually being able to give or withhold supplies.

Grinning, he made a deliberately dubious noise. "Aw, I had to do some calligraphy classes back in the day..."

It hadn't stuck, of course, but there was no need to admit she was right too easily.

"Anyway," he added, "typing it up's fine but you might want to keep a physical copy in case our tech breaks down. I still don't understand much about how these wrist things function myself."

"Sure. Though you might want to be cautious about that -- Nick told me he'd taken some stimulants out of the med bay. Not like he can even use them, but leaving things there might not always mean they'll be there when we need them."

He scowled briefly, thinking. "I don't know much about the doctor robot, though. I'll have to make time to chat it up. What does that one go by again? Charlotte?"

Yunlan chuckled. "Yeah, well. They're bound to turn up with all of us searching the place! Just saying, if we come upon important meds tucked away somewhere, we might want to make our own lockbox for 'em. One of those cupboards up in the lab, say."

With a quirk of a grin, he added, "Better enthusiastic than lazy, huh?" Speaking of Nick.

"Exactly! You relax when there's no work to do! Making up bullshit busywork is just as bad as lazing about when there's something important to be done."

But enough of his feelings on bureaucracy and working hours; he chuckled. "Most of the stimulants I can think of fall on the recreational side instead of the medical one, but I'm no doctor, so who knows? There's something to ask the robot doc about. Ought to help us figure out whether finding 'em is a real priority or not."
