1st Team Meeting
WHO: Azula and any vault dwellers who show up.
WHERE: The Rec Room
WHEN: Three hours after her annoucement.
WHAT: Azula's "War Council" to disseminate information and introductions...also snacks.
WARNINGS: Possible discussions of violence and/or dark backstories.
Azula had attended a number of war meetings growing up as well as social affairs for meeting with important members of the public or military. This was different for a number of reasons, the largest being that this was a place no one seemed to have any respect for her title.
But she could handle that. It had taken her half a month to come to terms with it but here the title "Princess" was only as important as she made it.
Unfortunately that meant having to play "Nice" having to bite her tongue and not get frustrated when she wasn't catered to. That would have been harder for her two years ago, and impossible a year ago.
But here we were, with her waiting patiently near the entrance to the Rec Room to greet people as they came in. Oh how far she'd fallen.
"Come in, help yourself to some snacks. We'll get started soon."

It was a vague and obviously single sentence summary of a much longer story, but she refused to go into further detail without more probing.
"How about you? Did you have anyone special back in your own life?"
no subject
"Hardly. When you are in a position such as mine only the best will do. I refuse to settle for just any well bred noble or skilled warrior."
Even the people she had allowed to get close to her...she shook her head.
"Some people simply aren't meant for that sort of thing."

There certainly seemed to be a few of those around here now that she thought about it. This is at least the second time someone had brought up there high class status during her time getting to know her vault-mates.

"My father was even planning on passing the crown to me skipping over my foolish brother. But here we are, about as far away from the Fire Nation as I could possibly imagine."

She sighed with that, bits of her own life just before waking up flashing through her mind.

And there had to be a way back because if there wasn't then everything she'd worked for, her entire life up to this point had been wasted and she'd have to start from nothing.
It was too much and for a moment she shook at the possibility.
"Our memories are real, and your Carrot is in here somewhere." She said with more confidence then she felt. She projected it in each word as if just putting it into the universe was powerful enough.
"And when he does awaken perhaps you two shall be our first couple married in this new society they expect us to build." OK maybe she was trying to appease Chocolat with that last comment.

"Hmn, perhaps, that would be nice wouldn't it," But her voice was wistful, taking on a tone that wasn't entirely befitting her usually whimsical disposition. "So these pods then, do you think they're more for transporting people here than they are for keeping us in a state of prolonged stasis?"
no subject
"Could be. Wherever...however they found us they brought us here and kept us from waking. I can't begin to fathom the technology required. If spirits were involved, perhaps some kind of life force bending...but the longer we stay here the less I feel like bending of any kind exists here.
no subject
But that also didn't seem to be how this type of place rolled.
"I feel like the people who brought us here had a huge reliance on an advanced form of technology over anything else. Far more advanced than I am certainly used to. It feels like they more likely must have used that to bring us here in some way."
